Abstract
Cilj istraživanja: Ispitati ima li primjena PRF-a u kliničkoj praksi, kod protetsko-implantološkog pacijenta gdje je nužno podizanje dna maksilarnog sinusa, pozitivnog utjecaja na skraćenje perioda od početnog kirurškog zahvata do definitivne protetske terapije. Materijali i metode: U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 19 pacijenata, 10 žena i 9 muškaraca u dobi od 36 do 76 godina, od kojih je operacija augmentacije dna maksilarnog sinusa kod 7 pacijenata izvedena uz PRF, a kod ostalih 12 bez PRF-a. Rezultati: Prema statističkim izračunima zaključeno je da ni spol ni starosna dob pacijenata u obje ispitivane skupine nemaju utjecaja na duljinu trajanja terapije. PRF metoda je kod ispitivane skupine smanjila ukupnu duljinu trajanja terapije, čija je prosječna vrijednost 189.14 dana, za razliku od skupine kojoj nije primijenjena metoda PRF-a i prosječna vrijednost duljine trajanja terapije je iznosila 237.3 dana. Zaključak: PRF metoda ima pozitivnog utjecaja na smanjenje duljine trajanja ukupne terapije podizanja dna maksilarnog sinusa i implantacije, iako bi se trebala provesti dodatna istraživanja na većim uzorcima kako bi se točno procijenio ukupni regenerativni potencijal fibrinskog ugruška. Abstract (english)
Objectives: To examine whether the application of PRF in clinical practice, with prosthetic-implant patients where it is necessary to perform augmentation of maxillary sinus floor, has a positive impact on shortening the time period of initial surgery to definitive prosthetic treatment. Materials and Methods: In this study 19 patients were included, 10 women and 9 men aged 36-76 years old, of which surgical procedure of augmenting the sinus floor in 7 patients was preformed with PRF and the rest 12 patients have done the procedure without PRF. Results: According to the statistical calculations, it was concluded that no gender nor age of patients in both groups have effect on the duration of therapy. PRF managed to reduce overall length of therapy, with an average value of 189.14 days, in contrast to the control group and the average value of the length of the therapy was 237.3 days. Conclusion: PRF method has a positive effecton reduction of duration of therapy which consists of maxillary sinus floor augmentation and implantation, although there should be conducted more studies on larger samples in order to accurately assess the overall regenerative potential of fibrin clot.
