Sažetak | Cilj: Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je procijeniti znanje i stavove nastavnika i studenata kineziologije
o sportskim dentalnim ozljedama te o njihovom hitnom zbrinjavanju i prevenciji te usporediti
njihovo znanje.
Kineziološkog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Splitu i Kineziološkog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Zagrebu.
Ukupno znanje nastavnika i studenata o dentalnim traumama, njihovom zbrinjavanju i prevenciji
godina, a studenata 21,2±2,3 godina. Ukupno znanje nastavnika i studenata o dentalnim traumama,
značajne razlike između nastavnika i studenata kineziologije (nastavnici 1,4±0.9 vs. studenti
1,6±1,2 bodova, P=0,531).
kineziologije nemaju dovoljno znanja o sportskim dentalnim ozljedama, postupcima hitnog
razlike u njihovom znanju. |
Sažetak (engleski) | Objective: The objective of this research was to assess the knowledge and attitudes of kinesiology
professors and students about sports dental injuries and their emergency treatment and prevention,
and to compare their knowledge.
Materials and methods: A total of 250 kinesiology professors and students participated in this
study. The research was conducted on the basis of an online questionnaire (Google Forms) that was
sent to teachers and students of the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Split and the Faculty
of Kinesiology at the University of Zagreb.
Results: There were 250 subjects involved in the study; 223 (89.2%) students, 14 (5.6%) university
professors, 8 (3.2%) assistant professors, 4 (1.6%) assistants and one (0 .4%) postdoctoral students,
of which there were 125 women (50%) and 125 men (50%). The average age of teachers was
45.3±8.7 years, and that of students was 21.2±2.3 years. The total knowledge of teachers and
students about dental traumas, their treatment and prevention, CKS-DT was 1.6±1.2 points, while
there was no statistically significant difference between teachers and students of kinesiology
(teachers 1.4±0.9 vs. students 1.6±1.2 points, P=0.531). 11 teachers (40.7%) and 87 students (39%)
worked as coaches/sports workers. Of the total number of subjects, 160 of them (64%) saw a tooth
or face injury while playing sports, statistically significantly more teachers compared to students
(27 teachers / 100% vs. 133 students / 59.6%, P= <0.001). Among all respondents, only 29 (11.6%)
professors and students knew what tooth avulsion is, 82.8% of subjects would store the knockedout tooth in a tissue until going to the doctor of dental medicine, and only 8.4% of professors and
students knew that the best medium for preserving an avulsed tooth is milk. 211 (84.4%)
respondents recommend the use of a dental guard to their athletes, and only 71 (28.4%) wore it.
Conclusion: Based on the results of this research, it was concluded that professors and students of
kinesiology do not have enough knowledge about sports dental injuries, emergency treatment
procedures and their prevention during sports activities, and that there is no statistically significant
difference in their knowledge. |
