Abstract
In the selected study period (2013–2018), the study included 371 patients (121 female, 250 male) operated by the FESS method due to nasal polyps. The median age at the time of the operation was 54 years (12-77 years). Among the 371 patients with nasal polyps who underwent the FESS operative procedure, 121 were female (32.6%) and 250 were male (67.4%). The average age of the patients with nasal polyps included in the study was 54 years, with a range of 12 to 77 years old. In respect to age, nasal polyps were most common in the fifth decade of life. Most of the FESS operative procedures occurred in the spring, followed by winter and summer, and it was rarest in the fall. Most of the patients were operated in 2013.
Abstract (croatian)
U vremenskom razoblju od siječnja 2013 do siječnja 2018 retrospektivno su pregledane povijesti bolesti 371 pacijenta (121 žena, 250 muškaraca) lijecenog FESS metodom odstranjivanja nosnih polipoza. Prosječna dob pacijenata za vrijeme operacije je bila 54 godine (12-77 godina). Od 371 pacijenta koji se podvrgnuo FESS operativnom zahvatu, 121 su bile žene (32.6%), a 250 muškarci (67.4%). Najviše se pacijenata podvrgnulo FESS operaciji u proljeće, zatim zimi te ljeti, dok je u jesen bilo najmanje FESS operativnih zahvata. Vecina pacijenata je operirana 2013 godine.
