Objectives: To examine whether there is a difference in choosing colors for prosthetic restoration by professionals and patients and how this difference, if it exists, is reflected in the total patient's satisfaction with restoration. Material and Methods: 30 patients were part of the present study. They were introduced to the whole process, voluntarily entered the study and signed a consent to participate. In addition, one student from the sixth year of dental medicine (therapist) and a nurse from the department of prosthetics were also a part of the present study. During the process patients were independently choosing the color they considered the most appropriate for their replacement and the results were inscribed in the table. The color was also chosen by the therapist and the nurse but without mutual consultation and insight to the patient's choice. The color was determined in daylight and they used the shade guide called “Chromascop”. The replacement was made according to the color selected by the therapist. At the very end, patients filled out another questionnaire in which they expressed their satisfaction with finished prosthetic restoration. Results: The results showed concordance in opinions of patients and professional staff at 3.33% while the average satisfaction rate was 3.82. Conclusion: Based on the outcome, it was concluded that the patient's choice of color in most cases does not match to the selection of experts, but nevertheless they are ultimately, in most cases, pleased with the finished prosthetic restoration.
